Watercraft InspectorSeasonal Watercraft Inspectors are the frontline for preventing the introduction and spread of aquatic invasive species (AIS) around the Tahoe Region. Working with a team, watercraft inspectors inspect all watercraft for AIS prior to launching, and decontaminate those presenting a risk to our waters. Multiple opportunities available around the basin. Inspectors start at $20/hour. This position works 10 hour days in the field, and has 3 day weekends with multiple bonuses available for employees in good standing.
Roving InspectorSeasonal Roving Inspectors are mobile inspectors focused on non-motorized and hand-launched watercraft users. “Rovers” are AIS liaisons to the public and partners. They travel to beaches and launch areas around the Tahoe basin to educate, answer questions, and provide remote inspections to prevent the introduction and spread of aquatic invasive species (AIS). Rovers primarily work independently in the field but may work 1 day/week with a team at an inspection station. Multiple opportunities available around the basin. Roving Inspectors start at $21/hour. This position works 5 x 8 hour days in the field, with multiple bonuses available for employees in good standing.
